Winters Chill

Winter Wading-4-2.jpg

We recently had the opportunity to write a blog post for the Redington Stories page on their website talking about fly fishing in the winter and what it means to us.

If you live in Calgary you know first hand the rollercoaster that is the winter season. We are lucky enough to have chinook days where the temps warm up to t-shirt weather only to have them plummet the next day to ridiculous levels of cold. I read a headline the other day that Calgary’s daytime highs were lower then the daytime highs on Mars? How is that even possible.

So it’s cold. It’s not ideal. Do you fish? Do you stay home? You can read our post by clicking the button below and find out what we typically do on a winters day. **Keep in mind this is a winter day where the temperature is a normal -5C to -10C, not the -25c we have seen consistently for the last 2 weeks.. we aren’t that crazy!

NEW WEBSITE

We have finally found the time to update our website. We hope that the update is much easier to use and better features our work. Here on the blog we will be posting much more regularly and the bulk of our posts will be about exciting things we have in the works as well as fly tying methods and instruction from Brendan.
